제가 10월 영국출장을 다녀오면서 다시한번 좋은 학교라고 느낀 English in Chester를 소개하려고합니다.
체스터라는 도시가 사실 생소한 분들이 많으실것같습니다.
북쪽에 위치한 체스터는 런던에서 기차로 2시간정도 소요되는 거리이며 맨체스터 공항에서 약 30분 거리입니다. 체스터는 매우 영국적인 매력뿐만 아니라 아기자기한 분위기의 도시입니다.
런던과 같은 대도시에 비하면 물가도 저렴하며 한국에 많이 알려지지 않아 한인도 매우 적은 도시입니다.
북쪽에 위치했으나 사투리 걱정은 절대 안하셔도 되며 맨체스터, 리버플과 같은 큰 도시와 가깝기 때문에 런던에서 멀지만~충분히 커버가 되는 도시입니다.
조용히 평일에는 공부에 집중하시고 주말에는 맨체스터나 리버플로 이동을 하시면 좋을 듯 합니다.
English in Chester
이 학교는 영국문화원 British Council 인증및 English UK 멤버쉽도 함께 가지고 있을 뿐만 아니라 중북부에 있는 학교들에게 부여되는 English in the North 회원이기도 하며 국제적으로 탁월한 학교들의 연합체인 IALC에도 가입되어 있습니다.
English in Chester 이 지역의 유일한 사립학교로, 지난 30년 이상 기간동안 영어교육에만 집중해 온 영어 전문학교입니다. 학교 건물은 200년이 넘은 역사 깊은 곳으로 시내 중심인 Stanley Place에 3개의 빌딩을 가지고 있는데 이곳은 과거 Chester의 부유층이 소유했던 곳이었다고 합니다.

오후에 개설되는 Option 수업을 통해 개별적인 집중적인 학습프로그램을 활용한다대부분의 학생들이 먼저 이 학교에서 공부를 했던 사람들의 추천에 따라 학교를 선택하는 경우가 많은 것에서 알 수 있듯이 학교에 대한 만족도가 큰 학교이다36주 이상 장기 등록자드은 상대적으로 많은 할인 해택을 볼수 있다.모든 교사가 Teaching Qualification을 획득하였고, 영국 또는 해외에서 교사 경력을 가지고 있다체스터의 유일한 영어학교로 타 지역에 비해 상대적으로 한인이 적은 장점이 있다대부분 학생들이 하숙을 할만큼 하숙집에 대한 만족도가 높다.Multi-centre General English Course (Chester, London & Bristol) - 런던의 Hampstead school, 브리스톨의 English Language Centre,그리고 English in Chester 학교를 옮겨가며 학업할 수 있는 코스로 최대 24주까지 가능하다.
특히 이 학교는 캠브리지시험센터이며 시험반에 강한 학교입니다.
